A Commitment to Care and Community

Get to Know Dr. Linel Holwager

Dr. Linel Holwager was born and raised right here in Leitchfield, which means she has maintained a true devotion to her community. Before owning her practice, she practiced at a clinic for special needs adults for five years. She received her DMD from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and completed her fellowship in developmental dentistry from the Underwood and Lee Clinic. With nearly 10 years at her current practice, she has spent countless hours continuing her education and helping those in need.

When she’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her four kids — Madeline, Charlie, Rubby, and Teddy — as well as taking continuing education courses, and playing the violin and piano.

Get to Know Dr. Thompson

Dr. Thompson is happily married to her husband, Wes, and they have two sons, River and Nolan as well as a Yorkie called Bailey.

In addition to growing up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she enjoys riding bikes, and as an avid baseball fan, she travels to Atlanta often to support the Braves. In the summer, she likes to hike and be outdoors.

Her dedication to dentistry goes beyond the care she provides patients. With a passion for staying up to date with the latest in dental care, she maintains professional affiliations and memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry, Kentucky Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Your First Visit

PATIENT EXPERIENCE

You will be welcomed by one of our welcoming and professional team members, and we’ll answer any insurance or financing questions you may have to make your appointment as seamless as possible. After a thorough cleaning by one of our hygienists, you’ll meet with Dr. Holwager and receive a comprehensive oral exam, complete with any necessary x-rays. Before leaving, we can also schedule any future visits and sign you up for our in-house membership plan.

WHAT TO BRING

To make sure your first visit goes as smoothly as possible, be sure to bring the following items to your appointment:

Photo ID
Insurance Card (if using) and/or Form of Payment
Completed New Patient Forms

We provide tablets above each chair with Netflix and Disney+ so patients of all ages can be entertained before and during their appointment.

Refreshment Area

We have a beverage station equipped with water, tea, and coffee so you can have a quick refreshment while you wait.

Lights Out

We work with the lights out to give patients a greater sense of comfort and relaxation to better the patient experience.

Sedation Options

We offer multiple levels and options for sedation so you can feel completely comfortable during your visit.

CBCT

This cone beam computed tomography has 3D imaging technology to capture data with a clearer image.

Digital Scanners

These scanners capture digital impressions to give us a detailed look at your mouth.

Find Your Smile Outreach

We are committed to being an integral part of the city we call home and building our community of Leitchfield. As the President of Find Your Smile Outreach, Dr. Holwager is committed to serving those who cannot afford or access dental care. FYSO is a non-profit 501c3 public charity that offers financial assistance to those who do not qualify for government assistance as well as those that are in active recovery from substance abuse.
